Ken's approach to portraiture started in the early 1990's while sculpting the human figure using Plastilina. Later, to facilitate transitioning to oil painting, he worked with colored pencil. Now Ken works exclusively with oil paints on extremely stable copper panels. He has benefited greatly working under the fine artist and patient teacher Charles Pompilius.
